Description of the role:

An opportunity has arisen to support Adults with disabilities to have fun in a social club environment,
Tuesday nights from 6.45pm - 9pm.
Wheelers and Walkers Group have been going over 40 years and in order for it to continue we need support.
We have approx. 40 members come along on a Tuesday night to socialise and meet friends in a safe environment.
The volunteers support taking monies to help pay for running costs, and run a raffle as well as managing games such as bingo or karaoke.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

You just need a positive attitude to our members needs and you will be required to have a CRB Check (police)
Able to work with other volunteers

Practical information:

We are open all year round on Tuesday nights. Ideally you could come along every week or every other if you prefer. We do have a few volunteers so taking time of for holidays etc isn't a problem.

Organisation Information

St. George’s Community Centre is a self supporting independent charity which provides a hall with various facilities for groups and families within Harrogate , Starbeck, Knaresborough and the surrounding villages. The Centre consists of a main hall area with up to 8 tables and 60 seats which can be configured to individual needs. There is also a smaller side room with seating for up to 7 people, for smaller meetings.
