Community Fit Community Tasks
COMMUNITY TASKS
Our Community Tasks are opportunities for individual members (who we call our "TaskStars") to help out in the community outside of our team sessions. This means you can do tasks when it suits you and travel at your own pace.
Community Tasks support an individual in the community who might need a little extra assistance — helping them to live more safely or independently, or improving their wellbeing in a different way. You commit to travelling all or part of the way from your home to theirs under your own steam - walking, running, or cycling.
Common tasks might include gardening, moving furniture, filling a bird feeder, sweeping leaves, or changing the batteries in a wall clock! You don’t need any special skills, you choose what you would like to do. Some tasks can be completed in pairs or small groups.
We give you full training (including Safeguarding training) and we are supported by the experienced team at Harrogate Easier Living Project (HELP), part of HADCA.
"Sophie was excellent and made an immediate impact, I feel so much happier looking at the area that has been tidied, thank you!"
