Preparing and serving refreshments at the community centre on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm
during the members bingo sessions. This will usually be tea, coffee and biscuits. The members are often elderly and sometimes have a learning or physical disability but are a lively, friendly group of between 20 - 30 people.
You will be helping with fundraising events of many kinds for instance: Table top sales, spring and autumn fairs, trips and outings. Christmas party and other celebrations throughout the year. Sometimes providing a listening ear as many of our members live alone and want to chat.
A friendly nature and pleasant outlook.
Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to get involved in helping with our many activities
Honesty and kindness is a must as well as being able to work hard and help where needed
Reliability is very important
Initially this role will be for Tuesday's and Thursday's from 1pm till 4pm and then to be there for any extra events a few time per year. A bus from Harrogate Bus Station stops right outside the centre and run every 30 minutes.
