Seeking volunteers who can commit to 4 hours per week (initially a Saturday morning) to assist a charity with the preparation of computer hardware that will eventually be placed into the hands of disadvantaged children who require an online education. Recents international projects have included shipments to Ukraine and Africa in addition to ongoing uK projects.
IT skills would be a distinct advantage but essentially possessing an interest in working with a team of other volunteers, all of who give of their time to assist with the charities aims of re-using IT and re-cycling computers.
You can expect companionship, humour and the satisfaction of knowing that your contribution is ensuring that impoverished children in many parts of the world are no longer digitally excluded when it comes to education.
Ideally 4 hours per week (10am until 2pm) on Saturday mornings. However we would also welcome volunteers who might only be able to commit to fortnightly/monthly etc. In time, we also hope to have midweek time slots so could offer a greater degree of flexibility for those who cannot assist over a weekend.
