Description of the role:

As a Treasurer you will help make this possible by playing an important role in budgeting and
managing the money. This flexible role can be done from home at a time to suit you.

What’s involved?

• Looking after the charity's money by following NCT guidance and policies on spending
• Helping volunteers budget for groups and activities
• Keeping a record of income and spending
• Processing volunteer expenses
• Keeping track of grant spending
• Quarterly reporting using NCT's simple online system

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

Our Treasurers are;

• Passionate about supporting parents
• Organised and reliable
• Confident with numbers and basic budgeting
• Good communicators

Practical information:

Time commitment:

• This is a flexible role that can fit around your commitments and availability
• The time you will spend volunteering may vary depending on the number of activities you are
supporting. You could volunteer with as little as 2 hours per month
• We’re ideally looking for Treasurers who can volunteer for at least 6 month
