Do you love textiles and working with people? We're looking for a volunteer to join our fantastic Thursday Textiles group to help support our tutor, share your skills and to support our service users to engage in the activities and develop their creativity and practical skills.
No specific qualifications required but good knowledge of different textile techniques is an advantage and confidence at working with a wide range of people in a creative and fun learning and supportive environment.

Orb Community Enterprise is a specialist creative community arts and wellbeing organisation operating as Orb Community Arts. It was founded in 2004 and we are based in The Garage, Elephant Castle Yard, Knaresborough, HG5 0EQ. We support people from across the whole of the Harrogate and Rural district of North Yorkshire.
Please get in touch if you would like to get involved, get creative, get connected and do something positive for your mental health and wellbeing - singing, writing, art, ukulele, gardening, cooking, drama, yoga, textiles, events, guitar, 1 to 1 progression support and a regular newsletter to help you stay creative, stay well and stay connected with your community.
Orb promotes positive mental health and provides better life opportunities to those experiencing poor mental health through engagement in creative activities, learning, performance and volunteering. We help people overcome isolation, build skills and confidence, improve their well-being and play a valued role in the local community. Everyone has mental health - sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad - and Orb works to help keep people well in the community as well those experiencing longer term problems. Whether you want to access support or maybe volunteer, it's always worth getting in touch.
