WhatsApp Communications Assistant

WhatsApp Communications Assistant
RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People)
Description of the role:

Volunteers will receive one WhatsApp message a month which provides details of activities blind and partially sighted people can get involved with. The activities will allow them to share the issues they experience on a daily basis with RNIB. We can then look at how we can break down barriers in society for their benefit. The volunteers are crucial to helping us reach more people with eyesight problems.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

Ability to use WhatsApp.
Ability to speak English.
Reliable and trustworthy.

Practical information:

A WhatsApp message will be shared once a month with volunteers, who will then share it with people they know. This should not take any more than 30 minutes a month. The role is home based and an induction is available (but not mandatory) and volunteers are asked to read a one page document about social media do's and don'ts. Ongoing support is available from their volunteer manager.
