Description of the role:

Are you our next new Trustee? Do you have the skills and enthusiasm to Chair our Board of Trustees?

We are actively seeking to expand our Board of Trustees as we strengthen Ripon YMCA.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

This is an exciting time to bring your experience, skills, knowledge and passion to the Board of Trustees to really make a difference to young people's and young adults’ lives.

Do you have the skills, experience and knowledge we are looking for?

First and foremost Trustees should have an enthusiasm and commitment to the goals of Ripon YMCA. Whilst not a specific requirement we are also particularly interested in hearing from people with experience in:

• Charity Governance
• Safeguarding
• Housing
• Property Management & Development
• Business
• Marketing and Fundraising
• Law
• Voluntary sector Leadership
• Lived experience of challenges faced by young adults

Practical information:

The Board of Trustees meet 6 times a year, online, on Wednesdays at 6pm. Trustees also attend the AGM each July and 2 half day development days. Trustees are also asked to join the Finance or Governance Committee which meet 6 times a year online.

Ripon YMCA provides supported housing for young people aged 16-35. Our youth work provides opportunities for young people in our local community.
