In Oxfam Knaresborough we're dedicated to fighting poverty and inequality. Behind the scenes, a lot of work gets done to help us sell over a thousand pounds of goodies each week. Build your CV, confidence, and skills by volunteering now.
Sorting donations, finding vintage and rare treasure keeping organised & tidy, valuing & pricing goods, drinking tea... If you think you could help with some of this then give volunteering a try. Some travel and lunch expenses can be covered too. (Please note we are unable to take under 18 volunteers at present due to our shops being at capacity with a waiting list).

The Role:
• Sorting all incoming donations and categorising them
• Researching and valuing donated items
• Pricing donated items
• Displaying donated items for sale on the shop floor

Our shop complies with Covid-19 guidance and we aim to keep everyone safe with thorough cleaning and welfare procedures. Masks and gloves are provided.

Oxfam do not accept applications from anyone on the Sex Offenders list. We may inquire about unspent convictions relevant to the role and you may be required to submit to PVG/DBS check (at no expense to you).
No specific skills needed as full training is given.
We offer 4 hours volunteering shifts 9am - 1pm and 1 - 5pm but we are flexible and if you can only do 10am - 2pm or even just a couple of hours that is fine with us. We pay expenses when travelling to the shop by bus and parking expenses when travelling by car. Lunch expenses are paid when volunteering for 5 hours or more in shift.
