Open Country has a stall at the Valley Gardens Coronation Celebrations on May 6th. We also have the licence for street collections around Harrogate on the day. We need lots of volunteers who could give us an hour or so of their time to walk the streets of Harrogate and raise funds for our charity.
A big, persuasive smile and the ability to tell everyone about the great work that Open Country do.
This volunteering opportunity is available on May 6th from 9am to 6pm. We will be planning a rota of people who can help throughout the day so any time you can give us will be gratefully received.

Open Country is a charitable organisation. We aim to enable anyone with a disability to access and enjoy the countryside. We run a range of activity groups including, walking, cycling, outdoor pursuits, practical conservation work and nature study. We also run a countryside access advice service and produce a number of countryside access publications.
Open Country’s Breakfree packs for Harrogate District and Wharfedale are easy access routes which can be enjoyed by children, cyclists and people with disabilities, including wheelchair users. The packs have clear, colour maps for each location, with all the information you need to help plan your day, and enjoy the outdoors.
