Description of the role:

Oxfam Charity Retail Shop – VOLUNTEER – Bookshop - Online Listing Assistants

We sell our most valuable, weird, and wonderful books and music through Oxfam's own online shop. Working from our online rooms, you’ll help us raise money to fight poverty and inequality.

You will develop online retail experience and learn many transferable skills, building your CV and confidence. No experience needed as training will be given.

The role involves:

· Researching / valuing items online

· Writing descriptions for items

· Putting books and music onto our website

· Computer skills desirable but not essential!

Our shop complies with Covid-19 guidance and we aim to keep everyone safe with thorough cleaning and welfare procedures. Masks and gloves are provided. We aim to reply to applications within two days. If you haven’t heard from us, please check your junk folder. (Ref: JS)

Oxfam do not accept applications from anyone on the Sex Offenders list. We may inquire about unspent convictions relevant to the role and you may be required to submit to PVG/DBS check (at no expense to you).

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

Computer skills desirable but not essential!

Practical information:

We are open 7 days a week. We usually we ask for 4 - 8 hours per week. We can be very flexible around parenting / caring / health / employment / education and any other commitments you have. Some travel and lunch expenses can be covered too. If you have a couple of hours to give to Oxfam, then we'd like to hear from you.
