Supporting young disabled people to access a youth club that runs during the school holidays. You'll be working with 10 - 19 year olds with a variety of different needs. We need someone who can encourage, empower and enable our customers to participate in the activities. You might be playing sports, assisting with crafts or just sat having a chat with someone. It's a diverse role that can be adapted to suit individual skills and abilities. We provide tea for the young people so can utilise catering skills too!
We are looking for enthusiastic people who enjoy helping others. We're not looking for any specific skills although patience, tolerance and a sense of humour are good assets to have at your disposal! Ideally, we need people who can help from 5.00 - 8.30pm although will try to be flexible. This role is only on Wednesdays during school holidays
We offer basic health and safety induction, child protection training and access to disability awareness training.
The group meets from 5.30 - 8.00pm - we accept people who can volunteer for part of the session. You'll get your tea too!
