The cathedral hosts four large fundraising events per year, including the well known Beer Festival each May. Volunteers are needed to help at these events to welcome visitors and ensure they enjoy their visit. You can also be involved in the planning and marketing of events in the run up to them.
An interest in event planning and management would be useful, but a general desire to volunteer with the public and a friendly and confident manner is great. No formal skills or qualifications are required.
Each event is different and the time offered can suit your availability both beforehand organising things and on the day.

The Development Campaign raises funds for specific projects to ensure that this living centre of culture, Yorkshire hospitality, spirituality and heritage thrives now and into the future. In addition to coordinating a varied programme of fundraising events throughout the year, the Development Campaign offers a number of ways to support the Cathedral financially.
