Description of the role:

Harrogate Gateway Club provides a social and Leisure facility in Harrogate for people with learning disabilities. Volunteers are always more than welcome to come along to listen and talk to the members and join in with our weekly activities. Activities range from Bingo, raffles, quizzes, disco and various themed evenings. We also offer day trips for example to Blackpool to see the illuminations or Knowsley Safari Park. An annual holiday is also available for those who wish to take part. Most importantly our main aim is to provide a friendly, safe environment where everyone can feel equal and enjoy themselves. Gateway Club meets on Mondays between 7.00 pm - 9.00 pm at The Wesley Centre, Oxford Street, Harrogate.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

No specific skills/qualifications are required. However, empathy for people with a learning disability is essential.

Practical information:

Full Training will be provided, along with a DBS check funded by ourselves. Town Centre location on good public transport links
