Are you enthusiastic about fair trade and playing a part in readjusting the balance of justice in the world? We're looking for volunteers who can offer 2 hours a week to staff the shop, help customers with their purchases andbe able to talk a little about fair trade. You don't need experience in retailing but an interest in and enthusiasm for fair trade is vital. Volunteers are the face of the shop, serving and assisting customers and answering questions, with responsibility for the shop as a whole. Spending a little time each week getting to know the stock and reading up about the stories behind it will be really beneficial for your role. You'll also be keeping the shop looking its best and sometimes doing a little pricing too. N.B. This is a role that you'll do alone, as there's usually just one volunteer in the shop at any time but you'll be invited to training sessions and get togethers where you'll meet other volunteers.
To be pleasant, friendly and enthusiastic about fair trade, with a desire to provide good customer service and keep learning.
We'll provide till training, a shop orientation session and further support.
