Play Worker (KISS Saturday Club)
Disability Sport - Brimhams Active
Description of the role:

Do you have lots of energy? Do you like volunteering with children? Do you think that disabled children should have the same chances as non-disabled children? KISS Saturday club offers all children the chance to play, make a noise, make a mess, paint, cook, and have fun - regardless of their mental or physical ability. We need enthusiastic, creative patient and caring people to support the disabled children to allow them to play. Volunteers are required between 9.45am and 1.15pm - on Saturdays during term time only, but we also have opportunities during the week in the school holidays.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

Previous volunteering or work with children is advantageous although not essential. If you have any particular activity based skills, i.e. sports, music, arts, crafts or drama, we can put them to good use. A sense of humour is vital!

Practical information:

We appreciate that everyone is busy and although a regular commitment each week will enable to the children to get to know you, we are happy to be flexible in relation to the times/dates you are able to help.
