Singing Group Volunteer to join our Harrogate team

Singing Group Volunteer to join our Harrogate team
Dementia Forward
Description of the role:

Join a happy band of volunteers at our Harrogate singing group for people living with dementia and their carers. Volunteers get the hall ready for the group, welcome people, hand out singing books, serve refreshments and join in with the singing - if they want to! It's a wonderful opportunity to do something for the community, meet people and have fun. We would love to hear from you whatever your age, skills or experience, but if you love singing this could definitely be the role for you. The role would suit a sociable friendly person, who is happy to talk to new people.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

We provide an induction for all new volunteers, which covers dementia awareness and information about the charity and our volunteering roles. We are happy for friends to come to the group together as volunteers. We would love to hear from you whatever your age, skills or experience.

Practical information:

The group runs for two hours on a Thursday morning 10.30 til 12.30, and there is no obligation to volunteer every week, you just tell us when you are available.
