The HADCA Care In Action Newsletter contains news from HADCA and our member charities, articles and information on a range of topics such as new campaigns, local services and resources.
This Summer edition 'Small but Vital and Valued', shared during Small Charity Week, celebrates the contribution our local charities make. Run by local people for local people they really understand what's needed for our community to thrive for everyone.
Frances, our CEO, shares a few words on the new challenges the voluntary and community sector faces and how HADCA can help.
It’s fantastic for our voluntary and community sector to be recognised and we’re delighted Frances will receive an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.
Frances will accept the award on behalf of the local network of charities and volunteers and all in communities across Harrogate district who were so caring and responsive.
Read about the work of Carers' Resource and Ripon Disability Forum and find out from The Young Trustees Movement what percentage of trustees are aged under 30!
You can also catch up on the work of our HELP team and our amazing volunteers who have ensured people have been safe and well at home and taken them to their vaccination appointments. Together with a fantastic charity network across the district, they have also played key roles in the smooth running of the vaccination programme both at the Yorkshire Showground and Ripon Racecourse.
Now the team will be working closely with volunteers to help people gain the confidence they need to re-join social activities and get out to the shops.
There's a lot more included in our 16 page Newsletter, so why not make a cuppa and find out how we've been promoting, supporting and connecting local charities, volunteers and communities over the last few months.
Together we're a force for good!
