The Annual Allotment Show provides an opportunity for plot holders and associate members from across the Harrogate District to exhibit their prize crops, flowers etc. and to get together to discuss their successes. There are many different classes to enter – fruit & vegetables, flowers, baking, as well as classes for novices, children and the whole family. You don’t have to be an expert – give it a try. Trophies and cash prizes to be won. Volunteers are always needed to help set up, look after the stalls and to help with clearing away.

There are lots of stalls – HDAF stalls include plants, produce, cakes, books, tombola and a prize raffle and there are stalls run by local charities, artisans and environmental groups. A band keeps everyone entertained in the afternoon.

The exhibition is open once judging is completed at approximatley 12noon. .

Trophies are awarded at the end of the show to those plot holders who have achieved the most points in certain categories or who have presented particularly prize exhibits.

Profits from the shows go to a local nominated charity each year to enhance their gardening projects. This year’s charity is Open Country.

Entry to the Show is free. There will be a fantastic raffle, tombola stall, cakes, produce and plant stalls as well as artisan craft stalls and stalls showcasing local charities.
