Community action has been one of the heartening things to emerge over the past few years.  We want to harness this thriving sense of community across Harrogate, connecting and collaborating to build on it. We see a future where local people access information and support tailored to their individual situation rather than having to fit around what services are available in their area.  This will be a future in which everyone’s skills and experience is valued and all can contribute.  

As a membership organisation, we know that local knowledge is vital and our Board member representatives from local charities and groups provide vital insight when helping to shape our direction and priorities. 

We are keen to hear from people involved with local community organisations who would like to become trustees of HADCA.  Whilst a range of experience would be helpful, we are particularly seeking to find someone with an understanding of or experience in finance or accountancy.

This rewarding role involves four evening Board Meetings a year at Harrogate Community House and contributing towards two Board Development sessions.   There are also four Finance Sub Committees a year and these can be attended in person or on zoom.
