The staff and trustees of Harrogate and District Community Action have been saddened by the news that former trustee Claire Kelley has passed away.
Claire was a trustee for six years from 2003 – 2009 and Chair of the Board for most of her time with the charity, helping build excellent relationships with the NHS, local authorities, other partners and members.
Claire appointed Karen Weaver as Chief Executive late in 2008 and Karen credits her with providing immense support and guidance in her early days in post; “She is remembered here as a person of great integrity and kindness, who always had the needs of the people of the Harrogate district at her heart”.
Current Chair John Fox acknowledged Claire’s important contribution to HADCA, alongside her many other charitable and community leadership roles across the area. “Claire was an immensely gifted person, who used her talents for the benefit of the whole community. She will be greatly missed by her friends and former colleagues.”
