Our Impact in 2019- 2020

Making A Difference: Our Impact

Our HADCA Impact Report gives some examples of how we have helped and connected communities, charities and volunteers over the last year.

Connecting and collaborating underpins all our work and supports the delivery of three further themes: supporting local community and social action, 'Where To Turn' local information services and helping people stay safe and well at home supported by volunteers.

Here are just some examples of the work we have been doing - we supported 128 organisations to recruit volunteers for over 320 different roles, connected 171 people at 12 local network meetings and kept over 3,000 contacts and local organisations informed through our information service.

Our HELP team provided a voluntary car driving service for 11,276 journeys, gave over 2,350 hours of practical support for people who can't manage themselves and held 55 Here to HELP sessions signposting to local sources of support

Growing local giving is vital for the future sustainability of our local voluntary and community sector. It has been brilliant to work with our partners Two Ridings Community Foundation and Harrogate Borough Council on the continued development of THE LOCAL FUND, with £69,500 given to local projects in 2019.

We have also supported THE LOCAL LOTTO which has raised over £93,000 for local good causes since it launched in 2018.

Our work would not be possible without the dedication and commitment of our volunteers - 132 fantastic people giving 353 hours of time every week in 2019-20!

Thank you to everyone who has supported HADCA during the year.
