HARCVS AGM 2014

HARCVS AGM 2014

This year, HARCVS hosted a joint event with Healthwatch North Yorkshire on 21 October bringing people together to look at how we can reduce rural disadvantage, loneliness and isolation and improve health and wellbeing in our district.

We were delighted to welcome Judy Robinson, Chief Executive at Involve Yorkshire and Humber, who spoke about the findings of the ‘Rural Lifelines Revisited’ Report and the challenges of rural poverty and loneliness.

For the second part of the afternoon the Healthwatch team invited everyone to take part in Strictly Come Commissioning. The activity gave an insight into some of the spending decisions that a clinical commissioning group has to make on a regular basis as everyone had to decide the best way of spending £100 million on health services in the local area.
