The New Year brings an exciting new opportunity to support the development of our Community Fit project, helping people combine exercise with being social and doing good.
This is a unique role coordinating and motivating people to be more active, social and community minded to develop the work of our Community Fit project. You will be responsible for recruiting and supporting members to take part in our group runs on a Wednesday evening, as well as coordinating individuals to run, walk or cycle to help people in the local community.
You’ll provide a high standard of customer care for all participants and contribute to ensuring that everyone involved has a rewarding and safe experience, including volunteer induction, training and ongoing support.
You will be an engaging and intelligent communicator, a good organiser and a flexible team worker. A good knowledge of the local community is key to this role, with a view to developing Community Fit’s network of members and partner organisations.
Fixed term contract to 31 December 2024.
The role is for 10 hrs per week and is based in Harrogate with some local travel required. There is a requirement to work Wednesday evenings & additional flexible hours.
The salary is NJC 5-6 £23,500 - £23,893 per annum pro rata + 5% employer’s pension contribution (£12.21 - £12.42/hr)
