Event Description:
Join us at The BioHub - RegenFarmCo, award winning and dedicated to regenerative agriculture, for an immersive tree planting workshop designed to equip you with hands-on knowledge about sustainable farming practices and environmental stewardship. Our farm is proud to have been recognised in the Mix Land Use Challenge Prize at the Royal Agricultural University for our innovative approach to regenerative agriculture.
At the BioHub, we believe in nurturing the land while restoring it. With a deep commitment to soil health, biodiversity and eco-friendly practices, we focus on empowering farmers, landowners and community members to adopt regenerative techniques that improve the long-term health of our planet.

Why Attend?
This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of regenerative agriculture, especially tree planting and its benefits. Whether you're a farmer, gardener or simply passionate about the environment, you’ll gain valuable skills and insights into sustainable practices that will help you make a lasting impact on the environment and your local ecosystem.

What You'll Learn:
Regenerative Practices for Tree Planting: Learn the principles of regenerative farming, including the role of trees in improving soil health, increasing biodiversity, and combatting climate change.
Hands-On Tree Planting: Take part in planting native tree species, using techniques that restore the land while enhancing its productivity.
Soil Health & Biodiversity: Explore the connection between healthy soils, thriving ecosystems, and long-term agricultural sustainability.
Agroforestry: Learn how trees, livestock, and farming practices can work together to create a more resilient, sustainable farm.

Our Farm:
Nestled in the heart of Yorkshire, the BioHub is home to 113 sheep and is a proud example of agroforestry, where livestock and trees coexist in harmony, contributing to a balanced ecosystem. We integrate these principles into every aspect of our farm's operations.
We specialise in circular and regenerative farming to create sustainable food systems and foster environmental stewardship. The Biohub has an established educational workshop programme at its demonstrator farm in North Yorkshire, which uses hydrology, agroforestry, coppice woodlands, vermiculture composting, cover crops and wildflower meadows in intelligent ecosystem design. Participants experience life on a circular and regenerative farm, getting hands on with day to day farm activities

Workshop Highlights:
Interactive Learning: This isn’t just a lecture! Expect to roll up your sleeves and get involved with practical, hands-on activities.
Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work alongside fellow attendees to brainstorm and problem-solve challenges facing regenerative farming and tree planting in your own community.
Real-World Applications: Walk away with concrete tools and strategies you can apply to your own projects, farms, or gardening initiatives.
Community Impact: Be part of a movement dedicated to healing our land and leaving a positive legacy for future generation

Partnership & Funding:
This workshop is supported through a collaboration with the AFN Network, an organisation dedicated to empowering communities and promoting sustainable practices. With funding from the AFN Network, we are excited to offer this opportunity to individuals passionate about regenerative agriculture and environmental stewardship.
