
The workshop’s goal is to provide professionals who support alcoholics, with an understanding of the A.A. program in the Harrogate, Ripon and Knaresborough area; what is offered and how the A.A. can help those with a problem with alcohol.
There will be a talk from the A.A. Health liaison officer about the Cochrane Report and shares from local A.A. members who got sober at varying points in their lives.
Attendees are welcome from local charities, organisations specialising in addiction, blue light services, GPs, nurses, medical & care workers, representatives from faith communities.
Alcoholics Anonymous is an international fellowship of men and women who have had a drinking problem. It is nonprofessional, self-supporting, multiracial, apolitical, and available almost everywhere. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem.
