Where to Turn

Harrogate & District Community Action (HADCA)

Harrogate & District Community Action supports communities, charities and volunteers to make Harrogate district a great place to live and work.

HADCA provides specialist information, resources, networks and support to charities and community groups in Harrogate District. The charity promotes volunteering and helps people find their ideal volunteering role through the HADCA Volunteering Directory of local opportunities.

HADCA provides the Where to Turn directory of hundreds of charity services, support groups and community activities in the district, signposting people to the support they need.
We support local community fundraising through THE LOCAL FUND for the Harrogate District helping local charities meeting local needs.

The charity manages the Harrogate Easier Living Project which supports people across the district to live independently in their own home.

HADCA manages Harrogate Community House community hub providing affordable and accessible accommodation and meeting rooms.
