Youth club volunteer
North Yorkshire Youth (NYY)
Description of the role:

The Kirkby Malzeard youth club is a community run project with support from North Yorkshire Youth. Volunteers are needed to help run the sessions, sit on the committee, help promote the project, come along to help with the sign in register or the tuck shop or to run a specific activity that you enjoy or have skills in. The more volunteers the better as this is a community led youth club.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

No specific skills or qualities required other than you have an interest in working with children and young people or for them. Volunteers would work together in a relaxed and informal environment to provide a weekly program of activities that the youth club members have helped to plan. Training can be provided, and a DBS check will be required.

Practical information:

The club runs on a Thursday from 6.30 - 8pm. Volunteers are required from 6pm to help set up and until 8.45 to help tidy away. The club runs in term time only unless specific holiday activities are planned.
