We’re launching recruitment today for our new Chief Executive Officer. After 13 really happy years working in the fantastic HADCA team, including the last 5 as Chief Exec, Frances says it feels the right time to move on to a new challenge.
Frances said: "I am extremely proud of the HADCA team and all that we have achieved together, adapting to changing needs, incubating services and playing our part in supporting the local community in Harrogate and in Ripon, particularly during the pandemic, the recovery phase and beyond.
However the time now feels right for a change: we have some really exciting new opportunities lined up to develop in 2025 and thanks to support from North Yorkshire Council, we have funding confirmed towards our core work. We have also secured funding for Help out Harrogate, to promote and support local volunteering. We have good reserves and a brilliant team in place, so now is a great time for someone new to come along and drive these initiatives forward.
I believe it's healthy for organisations to have a change of leadership from time to time, with a new person bringing fresh ideas and experience. I would now like to take on some different challenges of my own, but only once a new Chief Exec has been appointed and we can ensure a smooth transition. I'll be around at least until end of April, possibly longer, depending on the recruitment process. The job advert link is below - please do encourage anyone you know who might be interested in the role to phone for a chat.
It's been an absolute pleasure working for HADCA in our local voluntary and community sector, and I've met so many committed and inspiring people, whom we are lucky to have in our community”.
We are now looking for a visionary leader to guide HADCA through an exciting phase of growth and innovation. Our new CEO will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of our charity, ensuring we continue to make a lasting difference to the lives of those we support. From building sustainable partnerships to supporting communities and volunteers, this role offers a unique chance to shape the future of a high-impact charity. You will work closely with our passionate team, our Board of Trustees, and a wide range of partners to grow our impact, secure sustainable funding, and strengthen our presence both locally and nationally whilst ensuring that our charity’s mission, values, and goals are achieved.
We are a high-performing charity, with a strong reputation built over the last 50 years, valued by those we support and with the confidence of our partners, however, we are not complacent - we are resolute in our ambition to constantly seek out new ways to support our community and our members. This might be through creating new partnerships to deliver help and support into communities or finding new and creative ways to attract people to become volunteers and encourage money and in-kind support for the sector locally from individuals and the private sector.
We believe this is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a positive difference to the lives of others, to build on the achievements and connections made by Frances and to lead a local charity with an exciting future.
