Mind in Unity - Fostering good mental health through collaboration is brought to you by Harrogate based, The Jordan Legacy CIC, in partnership with North Yorkshire Police Treatment Centres.
This event is being held on October 10th, World Mental Health Day and features more than a dozen speakers (including national charities) on topics such as:
Men's mental health
Support for those feeling suicidal
Protecting children and young people from online harms
The impact of bullying in the workplace
Coping with alcohol addiction
The connection between money and mental health
Preventing suicides in children and young people
Supporting those who are bereaved by suicide in the community and at work
The impact of physical trauma on mental health
How to unlock your potential by creating a greater understanding about yourself
Full agenda to be published soon.
Each speaker will discuss these issues from a perspective of hope and what can be achieved, in a practical sense, to support those who are struggling with mental ill-health and suicidal thoughts, if we are prepared to work together and share good practice.
We will also hear a few words from Dan Atkinson, from North Yorkshire Public Health on what is being done in the region in relation to mental health and suicide prevention.
Tickets are just £29.50. This is a non-profit event and all monies will go towards the provision of tea, coffee and refreshments throughout the day, including a buffet lunch.
