Where to Turn

Dementia Forward

During the coronavirus outbreak, face to face activities are not taking place but Dementia Forward is operating a support helpline staffed by professional dementia support advisors for anyone who needs any advice or a listening ear, including carers and family members. The helpline (03300 578592) is open Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm.

Dementia Forward is a local charity which supports people living with dementia across North Yorkshire. Dementia support advisors and a dementia specialist nurse provide a personalised service, from information and advice to practical and emotional support. In addition, under normal circumstances we run social events and weekly groups, focusing on wellbeing and peer support. Anyone can use this free service. During the coronavirus pandemic, we are offering some of these services over video call. Please call our local helpline on 03300 578592 between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.
