Ready Steady Mums Harrogate
Following the coronavirus outbreak the group meetings have resumed with social distancing measures in place.
Ready Steady Mums ‘Socialise’ groups are part of a national network of volunteer-led community activity groups for mothers where mums (and dads!) can meet locally to walk and chat together, such as in a park or community centre. They were started by a mum who came up with the idea when she began walking with fellow mums together in the fresh air a few weeks after her first son was born, and quickly realised the power of community support.
Ready Steady Mums is an Institute of Health Visiting (iHV)-led programme, retaining great involvement from volunteer mums.
The group will run all year, volunteers will always attend during term time and where possible during school holidays. Meet at Tewit Well, The Stray at 10am on Fridays.
