Description of the role:

Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity and our vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs.

As a charity we rely on funds donated by generous members of the public to continue to help cats and kittens in need. Our fundraising volunteers are part of a passionate team that help raise funds to help our feline friends in need. They help plan and deliver exciting and varied fundraising events, which can be anything from craft fairs, cake sales, sponsored abseils – and anything in between!

As Fundraising Team Leader you will harness your Management and Team Working approach to oversee all Fundraising Activities within the Manchester Branch. You will be the main point of contact for our fundraising volunteers, Branch Team Leader and any Cats Protection Staff working with the branch.

You will approve spending, put fundraising ideas into action and create a positive, dynamic team of fundraisers.

This role is extremely flexible regarding time expectation, however a minimum of 3-4hrs a week is ideal.

Key Responsibilities
Managing the team of Fundraising Volunteers within the branch, ensuring all information is communicated to them.
Acting as first point of contact between fundraising volunteers/activities and the Branch Team Leader or Staff. Attending Committee meetings.
Approving fundraising spends and activities.
Help with recruiting and training new fundraising volunteers.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

Leadership, organisation and time management skills are essential, as well as the ability to work as part of a team and be an effective communicator.

Practical information:

Our Team Leaders give roughly three hours a week, will receive full induction and training as well as have their volunteer expenses covered.
