Description of the role:

Volunteer Exhibition Ambassador is a brand new role based within the All Saint's Church in the grounds of Harewood House; you will engage with visitors about the new exhibition by glassblower Chris Day, Harewood and All Saints Church which opens on June 26th.
Chris Day creates work to open conversations around Black history including the Transatlantic Slave Trade and under representation of makers of diverse heritage in the craft sector.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

No previous experience of heritage or knowledge is required; simply an enthusiasm to answer visitor’s queries and a willingness to have open and honest conversations. We will provide you with all the information you need.

Practical information:

We are looking for help with morning and afternoon shifts (10am-1:30pm and 1:30pm-5pm) seven days a week.
Harewood is situated on the excellent X36 Ripon to Leeds Bus Service. Travel expenses will be reimbursed up to a maximum of £10 per day
you may be the only volunteer inside the church but a member of staff will be based outside to provide support if needed.
There is a secure room in the church to store any personal belongings.
There is seating available.
There are toilets at the Church.
There is no parking at the Church but our Shuttle Service can transport you from the car park.
