This is a voluntary position which is primarily based behind-the-scenes in our store. It focuses on maintaining good shop standards as this is something we like to take pride in. It is an ideal role for anyone who would like to support Scope’s mission by offering their practical skills.
We are looking for a responsible person to help out with any odd jobs that we have in-store. This could be anything from tidying up and organising in the stockroom, dusting shelving, sweeping the shop floor or washing up stock, the choice really is yours! We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for our volunteers which means we have tasks available for everyone, no matter how big or small.
No specific skills or experience are required for this volunteer position, just a positive attitude and a willingness to comply with our health and safety procedures.
We welcome anyone who is interested in charity shops, passionate about disability equality, wants to develop their skills or to meet new people. Full training and ongoing support will be delivered by a member of management to ensure efficiency and success in the role.
Scope is located in central Ripon in close proximity to the market square.
We are accessible via public transport (the 36 bus passes our shop).
We are currently looking for help on a Thursday, Friday and a Saturday.
Ideally a minimum time commitment of 1 hour per week, but all time dedicated is appreciated.
We will do our best to offer flexibility and suit hours to the individual.
Please visit us in-store to pick up a Volunteer Application Form.
Our shop is contactable on 01765 601532 or via email - ripon.shop@scope.org.uk
