Help take Leeming Bar Station House back 100 years to the roaring 20s by opening up a platform tea room and gift shop in a buffet car. You'll be a part of living heritage by helping us put a tea room and gift shop at the museum Station House, giving our visitors a taste of the last century to make their experience even more real.
Full training will be given (with an on-going skills record) so if you're looking for a career in either retail or catering, need CPD to get ahead at work (or back into work), or if you'd just like to use your acquired skills in retirement, then we can offer a flexible position that develops and uses creative planning talent to get the tea room and shop up and running, with supplier sourcing and stock negotiation skills, financial abilities, volunteer management capabilities, and administration and evaluation competency all there to learn and do. It's a brilliant opportunity to get really stuck in and make a tangible difference to local heritage!
The role needs a minimum of 8 hours of 1 day per week - fully-flexible, any day - and we can offer help with transport costs for those on low incomes.
