Description of the role:

You’ll enable us to increase our understanding and awareness of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). We have an ambitious EDI strategy, and an EDI action plan for 2021 and you’ll be helping us to monitor our achievements against the plan and share information about our progress. The role will involve supporting the EDI Management team to provide updates on innovative EDI projects, tasks, activities and initiatives. You will assist with the administration of the EDI portal.

Our mission is to create a society where EVERYONE affected is supported, accepted and able to live in their community without fear or prejudice. You’ll be helping us to achieve our EDI strategy and plans, as well as improve the lives of diverse people.

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, communities and experiences. We particularly welcome volunteers from groups currently under-represented in roles at the Society, including people who are from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (B.A.M.E.) heritage, or have a disability or impairment, or from the LGBT+ community, or from different faith backgrounds. We will make you feel welcome, included and respected because together we are united.

This organisation within Harrogate Town AFC Football Club is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Background checks and an enhanced CRB will be required at all times.

Organisation Information

Harrogate Town Football Foundation C.I.C is a community investment, not for profit, organisation. The aim of the foundation is to provide opportunities for individuals to enhance their opportunities in life.

To that end we provide access to training programmes as well as to work-based qualifications, both of which lead to better understanding of health, exercise and diet issues.

Through this pathway we hope to build greater self-esteem, improve life skills and ensure a better economic outlook for each participating in the different projects.

We are committed to building philanthropic resources to sustain, develop and grow healthy communities across Harrogate District.
