The local volunteer manager (commissioner) is require to offer leadership and team management to a dedicated team of volunteers to ensure high quality guiding is happening in an area
They are responsible for administration and financial management in the local area. They should be able to promote guiding in the local area and welcome new volunteers as and when needed.
We are looking for volunteers with good communications skills, experience of managing people and be computer literate. The role requires an ability to help with queries from volunteers, help solve problems and general support. They also need to be approachable and trustworthy
We train all our local managers free of charge, they would need to complete the highest Safeguarding training that Girlguiding offers. The role would manage the volunteers who run local Rainbow, Brownie & Guide/Ranger groups. Support is available form the team overseeing the whole county

We run Rainbows (5–7 years), Brownies (7–10 years), Guides (10–14 years) and The Senior Section (14–25 years).
