Description of the role:

We are looking for people to join our friendly team who help people on a low income to find suitable free clothes, toys, bedding and baby equipment and to help with sorting donations.

We want to provide our service users with a friendly service. We have all of the clothes sorted and on rails so that they can look at items and choose what they need, like and what fits.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

We provide training. All we ask is that you are friendly, helpful and able to keep information about our service users confidential.

Practical information:

We are looking for people to help for 2.5 hours on the second Friday (10-12.30) and 2.5 hours on the last Saturday each month (10-12.30). You don't have to do both, just whichever one you are able to offer help for.

We follow a safer recruitment process to try to keep our team and service users safe.

During the coronavirus outbreak St Marks is working with Oatlands Community Group providing help with grocery shopping, urgent errands, picking up prescriptions etc. The team are also having pastoral conversations via phone. Email

St Mark’s Church has a worshipping community in excess of 600 adults and more than 300 under 18s. Like many growing churches, we need to invest in doing all we can to bring God’s Kingdom, not just to our immediate church family, but also to the wider community in which we live.
