Description of the role:

Our award-winning, successful and innovative local charity is looking for motivated and enthusiastic people to help us provide integrated health and social care (excluding personal care) for frail older people both in their own homes and in our Day Centre.
Following the difficulties faced by frail older people during Covid restrictions, we are expanding current services and opening up our daytime activities, which have been suspended for so long.
We have a number of volunteer roles which include:
- Day care helper
- Reception
- Shopping for frail or housebound people
- Gardening
As a daycare helper you are required to assist with taking coats and settling clients in their seats, as well as offering and serving refreshments and home-cooked lunch. Lead activities if wished. Help clients socialise with others.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

Empathy. Patience. Lovely attitude. Willing to take part and learn new skills.

Practical information:

Weekday on MTWF 10am till 2.30. If able any part of that time. Must be able to mobilise independently, be open to guidance and training to ensure safety for all.
