ACCOUNTANT / TREASURER
Knaresborough Community Land Trust

We are seeking an experienced accountant to take up the role of Treasurer for the recently formed Knaresborough Community Land Trust (CLT). Knaresborough CLT was set up to create community-owned affordable housing to benefit those living and working in Knaresborough. This is an exciting time for the CLT as we progress our membership drive and move towards the development of affordable homes, within the coming months.

The Treasurer is a member of the Board which currently meets about eight times a year. Board members are all volunteers. As a member-led Community Benefit Society, we are regulated by the FCA. This is an excellent opportunity to join the organisation in its early days and contribute to its strategic direction. The Treasurer will take the lead on setting up the financial controls for the CLT and ensuring effective and timely reporting. The role will be rewarding and offer a challenge for someone wishing to be part of a ground-breaking initiative.

Experience in an Accountancy / Treasurer role

Practical information:

Board meetings are currently held about once every six weeks, in the Council Chamber at Knaresborough House.
