Description of the role:

Being the first person visitors will meet on arrival and the last person they will see on their way out – being a real meeter greeter, manning our brand new visitor welcome cabin.

Encourage people to pursue self-led activities such as exploring with Tracker Packs, going on walks, geo-cashing, orienteering, 50 Things, spotter sheets, visitor information packs etc.

Be ready to help if people ask about walking routes, iconic rocks, scenic views, activities for children and adults.

Learning about Brimham Rocks generally to help people make the most of their day.

You are important in making sure things run as smoothly as possible.

Keeping in touch with the wider team so you know what’s happening each day.

Attend National Trust customer service training to maintain our excellent customer service standards.

Being flexible on busy days to help manage the car park to ensure that we make full use of the space available.

There might opportunities to tell visitors about the benefits of National Trust membership.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

Someone who loves meeting new people – there’ll be plenty every day!

Enjoy the fresh air, being outdoors and meeting people.

Cheerful even when there’s a nip in the air.

Keen to find out more about what’s going on at Brimham Rocks.

Able to give your availability a month in advance.

Practical information:

We can be flexible and work around your availability.

We provide full training.

Your own transport would be a distinct advantage. We are a countryside location with limited public transport accessibility.
