We are looking for a trustee to join our Board at a very exciting time for the organisation. As trustee part of your role will be giving strategic direction to the organisation, setting overall policy, defining goals and setting targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets. Trustees of Disability Action Yorkshire are also Directors of the organisation and are registered with Companies House as such.
We are looking for a trustee with particular skills, experience and knowledge of learning and training, particularly in the post 16 sector. Our Training department is growing fast and the Board would very much like one of their number to take strategic oversight of this part of the organisation.
Trustee Board meetings are held every other month, usually starting at 5pm, at our Head Office on Hornbeam Park, Harrogate. A Board Development session is held at least once a year. Trustees are encouraged to attend social and fundraising events as well as providing support to staff on particular projects.
Our offices are fully accessible, with good parking and public transport links nearby.
