Melmerby Youth Club is looking for additional volunteers to support this youth club which currently meets fortnightly. The sessions run every 2nd Tuesday evening during term time and offer a creative and fun program for local children and young people. Activities include arts and crafts, games, food, visiting speakers and trips out.
Volunteers should be able to engage with children and young people in an informal and relaxed manner. They will work with the other volunteers and young people to plan the sessions and arrange the necessary resources. Volunteers with specific skills / hobbies are encouraged to get in touch - particularly if you are able to offer just an hour of your time to help deliver an activity to the club members.
The youth club is open every 2nd Tuesday from 7 - 8pm. Term time only. Volunteers may need to attend from 6.45 to help set up and until 8.15pm to tidy away.
