Orb runs several art and craft groups (currently held online, but will return to face to face group working when COVID allows). We are looking for individuals to support our art tutors in delivery of these sessions. You would help create a welcoming and supportive environment, assist service users with their artwork and encourage them to get involved and enjoy the activity.
If you know you way around computers and can also help to get service users up and running online that would be a bonus!
You don't need any formal qualifications, but we hope you will enjoy being creative, trying out new skills and techniques and understand the beneficial effect of creative work in promoting positive mental health and wellbeing.
Sessions are held weekly and run for approximately two hours and are currently online. When possible, the sessions will resume at Orb's base in Knaresborough. All Orb volunteers are DBS checked and receive full induction training.
