It's a great opportunity to meet lots of young families. We are lucky to have lots of lovely people to come and play each week. We would like to find a someone who is friendly and outgoing, enjoys meeting people and can volunteer with background noise. Currently our records are all paper based so no computer skills are required.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

Enthusiasm and commitment to the aims of the toy library.

Practical information:

Our play sessions run Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning 10am-12pm at Harrogate High School Community Education Centre and Tuesday 9:30-11:30 at Chain Lane Community Hub, Knaresborough. A volunteer is most needed on a Monday and Friday morning as these are our busiest sessions, however the additional help at the other play sessions will be most welcomed. Organisation Information

We are a local charity, which has been serving the community for the last 27 years. We run interactive, inclusive, educational, sensory, play sessions for preschool children. These sessions run 3 times per week and in spring to summer we offer children an outdoor sensory play session. The sessions create an important and safe network for parents and carers to meet in a non-judgemental setting, with a big focus on tackling isolation.
We also operate a toy lending service, which enables families/carers/childminders and schools to borrow educational toys to create an enriching learning experience for the child. We also have a focus on low income families, who do not have the disposable income to provide these toys, in the home.
