Job Description: 

The Hospice UK Just B Helpline sees our specially trained Just B staff and volunteers offer emotional wellbeing, bereavement, and trauma support nationally to NHS, care sector staff and emergency service workers. The service is available seven days a week, 8am to 8pm.

This role is an amazing opportunity to make a significant difference to provide professional telephone emotional wellbeing support to frontline staff through our busy helpline service.

Location: Work from Home/North Yorkshire Hospice Care Premises

The ideal candidate will meet one of the following criteria:

• A qualified counsellor or a trainee counsellor with a minimum of 70 hours counselling experience
• A qualified Social Worker with one-to-one bereavement support experience
• A qualified Nurse, Teacher or Doctor with one-to-one bereavement support experience
• Individuals that have successfully completed the Just B Bereavement Support training and with more than 100 hours one to one bereavement support training
• Experience of providing emotional well-being support either formally or informally
• Experience of offering telephone support

An excellent communicator, this role will work effectively with other professionals and requires a person who is able to manage stressful situations with a calm approach.

Successful candidates will be provided with an app to make the calls for the service and should be willing to use their own mobile or laptop.
