Job Description: 

Fixed Term Contract for One Year - with the potential to extend
North Yorkshire Hospice Care Sites/Home based

An exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement and commissioning professional to development North Yorkshire Hospice Care’s commissioning and contracting capability and drive income generation to support the services delivered by North Yorkshire Hospice Care through Just ‘B’, Herriot Hospice Homecare and Saint Michael’s Hospice.

You will build effective working relationships both internally and externally to identify suitable projects for funding in line with strategy and deliver these on time and in budget. You will write and apply for commissions and contracts to ensure we achieve contract and tendering deadlines and will develop and implement an effective contract mobilisation process.

You will have at least two years’ experience undertaking procurement and commission activities or similar with experience of e-tendering programmes and of securing income.

You will be adept at project management and working to deadlines and be confident and experienced in commissioning and contracts. You will be knowledgeable in statutory regulation and best practice relating to procurement and will have excellent accuracy, communication, influencing and team working skills.

The role is offered on a fixed term contract for one year, with the possibility of extension.

After a period of induction, this role can be worked at home with the ability to be based at any of our offices and willingness to be agile, as need requires.
