Supporting Older People is a local charity working towards alleviating loneliness and isolation in older people in the Harrogate and Knaresborough area.

We are working in partnership with Nidderdale Plus Community Hub to deliver an exciting new pilot – Nidderdale Befriending through Transport Project and are looking for a Coordinator to facilitate this role.  The role is initially for one year.

We are using a new community minibus to connect people with each other by providing regular trips to market towns, local activities and day trips.  The Befriending through Transport Coordinator will research and facilitate the trips as well as recruiting volunteer drivers and befrienders.  

The successful candidate will be outgoing, flexible in their approach to work and preferably have experience in volunteer management.
You will be joining a small team of dedicated staff who understand the impact of loneliness.

Holidays: 36 days including bank holidays
