Volunteering City Of Ripon: The Power of Ten
Volunteering City Of Ripon is a Heritage Lottery funded partnership project supporting volunteer involving organisations in Ripon to elevate their volunteer offer, and to find innovative, inclusive ways to welcome potential new volunteers from within our community.
As part of our training and awareness commitment, we are pleased to launch our new educational resources and “The Power of Ten” challenge for schools and children’s clubs, in collaboration with Picture News
These interactive resources open the conversation about volunteering, the benefits to self and the community, with the option to complete the “The Power of Ten” challenge. This is an opportunity for schools to complete 10 hours of volunteering for a local organisation, which will help to strengthen communities and improve wellbeing for all involved.

Once the challenge is completed, each School will receive a certificate and individual badges for the children. By using these resources in schools, we hope to plant the seed from an early age, that volunteering is a natural part of life. Our aim is to empower and inspire children to volunteer in their free time and beyond school age, in turn creating a sustainable pipe line of new volunteers for our community.
